Well, I'm back. I thought this would be easy, but I was wrong. Finding something interesting to write about on a regular basis is not as easy as it would, at first, appear. So my intention is to just get on here and write as and when the need arises.
So, we held out first workshop in our fantastic new venue on Saturday. It is the Cambridge Belfry, Cambourne and it exceeded our high expectations. Everyone was greeted on arrival and taken directly to the room, where coffee and many teas were available, with a Danish pastry! We had arrived without a mains cable for the projector and one was soon found from - who knows where, and we were able to set up with little or no fuss.
I used my Power Point presentation for the first time and it was such a boon, as it gave the students a reference point for their tasks rather than having to leaf through their manuals all the time. Unfortunately it was not my latest editioin of the presentation, but they weren't to know that. Morning break arrived with copiouse tea and coffee and individually wrapped biscuits. Lunch was four courses! in a buffet settingand all to the highest standards.
It was around this time that a wedding descended on the establishment and areas we had been using for break-out practice sessions were at a premium, so-much-so that the final one had to be done within the confines of the room. This turned out to be fine as the acoustics meant that one group was not overhearing the next, so it went without a hitch.
Afternoon break arrived, along with the most succulent golden syrup flapjacks and fruit skewers I had tasted, but by this time we were pretty-well loaded to the gunwales with rich food - together with the two large bowls of Quality Street in the middle of the table - that a fair bit of it was left. Unfortunate, but I suppose that the staff have to eat as well......
All-in-all a fantastic day, with top-notch feedback. We have booked November 27th for the next Level 1 and January 15th and 29th for level 2, so we have finally found our roost for forthcoming events. We arrived home 45 minutes later and after retiring at 11:00 pm, slept solidly until 10:00 the next morning! I love that about EFT; a concentrated amount will relax you so much that you sleep like a log.
So, until the next time that there is anything of slight interest, goodbye for now!
